Celebrating the beginning of the 3rd Year of Cheshire Karate Academy!

October 2024 marks the beginning of the third year of Cheshire Karate Academy, welcoming students from 6 - 90+ :-)

We first opened our local doors to students in 2022 at Astbury Village Hall and the Wesley Centre in Sandbach, and in the last year have added two new venues... Congleton High School and Sandbach Boys School.

Some of our teen and adult students have also undertaken special self-defence short courses run by Sensei Paula, which have proved very beneficial and enjoyable... providing skills for life as well as lifelong skills.

Our students have gone from strength-to-strength with grading successes as well as in national competitions!

About Us

We practise traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu, which focuses on effective close-quarters fighting. We enjoy tournaments, but believe that the true heart of karate is self defence.
